Partner meeting with NAPAD
The Somalia country programme team held a consultative meeting with representatives from the Nomadic Assistance for Peace and Development (NAPAD) on 18 October 2018. The meeting was held at the Action Africa Help International (AAH-I) head office in Nairobi.
The objective of the meeting was to refine project work plans and to prioritize sub activities leading to main activities, in order to optimize budget allocations according to activities. NAPAD is an AAH-I implementing partner in water, sanitation and health, nutrition and food and income security in Gedo region. In 2017 alone, the partnership with NAPAD led to the construction of 177 pit latrines and the setting up of hand washing facilities, and at least 1,600 households given access to clean water in Elwak and Ausqurun. With funding from Bread for the World, AAH-I has been implementing an integrated programme in Gedo region from July 2015. Other activities within the project include providing access to primary health care services and capacity building programs for peace and reintegration.
Finance Manager Issack Alio and Programme Director represented NAPAD, while AAH-I was represented by Regional Programme Manager George William Ebulu, Regional Finance Manager Edward Mudida, Finance Assistant Sarah Moses and and Project Officer Abdinasir Ali.
