Our work is helping:
- Communities become actively involved in exercising and lobbying for their democratic and human rights
- Create efficient and effective civil society organizations (CEOs)
- Communities to have reduced internal conflicts and enjoy peace
We provide conflict mitigation skills to community groups and support a range of peace promoting activities that include use of sports, cultural performances, and information, education and communication media to disseminate relevant messages that promote development and harmonious co-existence.
In South Sudan, AAH-I’s CAPOR (Capacity Building for Post Conflict Re-integration) project is actively engaged in peace promoting activities. Through a vibrant strategy that employs information, education and communication (IEC) methods, the project is assisting communities to actively participate in the rebuilding process after the long civil war that ended with a peace deal in 2005.
